What this roster is

Firearms determined by the Firearm Control Advisory Board to be solely designed and sold for
formal target shooting competition, and therefore placed on the separate roster established by
501 CMR 7.12-7.15. Submissions were reviewed by FCAB and the listed makes and models approved.

Why it matters: 501 CMR 7.05(d) makes sale of a firearm on this roster an exception to the
§ 123 prohibition on selling non-rostered firearms. A model absent from the Approved Handgun
Roster may still be lawfully sold if it appears here.

Placement criteria (501 CMR 7.13) include a manufacturer affidavit that the firearm is solely
designed/sold for formal target shooting; recognition by a national formal-target-shooting
organization; minimum barrel length (pistol 4", revolver 5"); match grade adjustable rear sights
or match grade optical target sighting system; and, for pistols, 4+ match grade components.
