Firearms Licensing EFFECTIVE October 2, 2024
You can now apply for your new or renewal firearms license online via the MIRCS Firearms Licensing Portal
Services available through the portal include:
Submit Firearms License Applications and Check Status
Residents and non-residents can apply for a new firearms license or renew an existing license. You can also check the status of your licenses and applications.
Obtain your Firearms License PIN
View your PIN directly from the MIRCS Firearms Licensing Portal for any of your active firearms licenses.
Report an Address or Name Change
Report an address or name change to the FRB for your firearms licenses. Massachusetts law requires that you report a change of address within 30 days of moving.
*Applicants must upload all supporting documentation to the portal
*Applicants must provide payment online or by check, or by money order written out to The Town of Westminster.
*NEW Applicants must schedule an appointment for Fingerprinting and an interview with the Chief of Police. Interviews can be scheduled online. Schedule your LTC interview with the Chief of Police or by calling 978-874-2900, ext. 120
