License to Carry (LTC) $100.00
Firearm Identification Card (FID) $100.00
Under 18 Years of Age FID Card $25.00
Over 70 years of age renewal - No Cost.
All licenses are valid for up to 6 years.
BEFORE APPLYING:
New applicants must complete the required safety course prior to applying and include a copy of the certificate with their application.
CURRENT PROCESS:

NEW APPLICANTS: When you have completed the application via the on-line portal above, call us at 508-885-6333 for an appointment for an interview and fingerprints. Fees will be collected during your appointment. You may also drop off required paperwork and fees in the police department lobby.
RENEWAL APPLICANTS: When you have completed the application via the on-line portal above. You may then mail the department the fee for the renewal or drop it off at the department lobby.
2. Applications must be submitted for all new and renewal applicants. The same application is utilized for both new and renewal applicants.
3. We no longer accept a hard copy change of address forms. All changes need completed on the state portal website listed above.
QUESTION 4 ASKS FOR ANY ARRESTS OR COURT APPEARANCES AS A DEFENDANT IN A CRIMINAL CASE. IT DOES NOT MATTER THE OUTCOME, STATE, OR AGE WHEN YOU APPEARED, YOU MUST PROVIDE ACCURATE ANSWERS.
PROCESSING:
Processing of applications takes approximately 12 weeks.
When your LTC/FID has arrived it will be mailed to your address with the appropriate paperwork.
