What you need
A complete resident firearms license application
The required application fee (check payable to Town of Princeton)
A Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Course certificate
A form of identification
How to submit
Mail the entire package to Princeton Police Department at 8 Town Hall Drive.
If you would like to submit an application in person, please call 978-464-2928 ext. 1099 to arrange a time.
Next steps
Firearms license application processing includes a state and federal background check, a fingerprint based background check, and a check with the Department of Mental Health.
You will be notified by your local licensing authority when your application has been processed, either by telephone or by mail. You may need to pick up your license in person.
License processing may take up to 60 days.
