Application forms and additional information for new firearms licenses and renewal firearms licenses are available online at www.mass.gov/chsb .
You are aslo able to apply for a firearms license ionline through the MIRCS Firearms Licensing Portal by creating an account at mircsportal.chs.state.ma.us/mircs-portal/login.xhtml
An appointment may be made with Sergeant Sean Connor to begin the application process.
Sergeant Connor typically works Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm.
Please allow at least 30 minutes for the application process.

First Time Applicants
First time applicants can apply for a firearms license through the MIRCS portal or in person. If applying online you will stiil be required to be fingerprinted at the Pelham Police Department.
Complete application
Provide a copy of a Certificate of Completion from Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Course.
Provide a Valid MA drivers license
A $100.00 non-refundable fee must be submitted along with application. Checks made out to "The Town of Pelham" can be submitted to Town Offices located at 351 Amherst Road
Persons 70 years old and older are FREE of charge
Fingerprints and photos will be taken at the time the application is submitted.
Renewal Applicants
Renewal applicants can apply for a firearms license through the portal or in person.
Complete application

Photos can be taken at the time the application is submitted.
NOTE: As stated on page two of the firearms application: "ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY FILES AN APPLICATION CONTAINING FALSE INFORMATION SHALL BE PUNISHED BY A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $500.00 NOR MORE THAN $1000.00 OR BY IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT LESS THAN 6 MONTHS NOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS IN A HOUSE OF CORRECTION, OR BY BOTH SUCH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT (M.G.L. c140 131)."
