Firearms applications will not be processed until all of the following materials are received:
NEW APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:
1. Application- All new applicants must be a resident of the Town of Natick. Residents
applying for an LTC must be at least 21 years old at the time of their application.
Residents seeking an FID must be at least 18 years old at the time of their application.
Individuals seeking an FID younger than 18 (between 15-18 years old) must have
parental or guardian permission to apply.
All applications must be completed and signed. Applicants can drop off their applications
in hand to the Natick Police Department Records Division Monday - Friday between 8:30
AM – 4:40 PM. Applicant can also apply online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal

2. Basic Firearms Safety Course – a copy of a state approved basic firearms safety course.
Check with the Firearms Records Bureau if you have any questions 617-660-4782.
3. Driver’s License: A photocopy of your Massachusetts driver’s license with your current
Natick address.
4. A copy of your birth certificate, valid US passport or citizenship papers.
5. Proof of Residency: Two copies of acceptable documents that are no more than two
months old
Acceptable- Mortgage statement, lease agreement, property tax, excise tax, voter
registration, utility bill (water, gas, electric, cable)
Not Acceptable- credit card statement, medical bills, junk mail, paystubs, vehicle
registration
Licensing Fee- Fees can be paid online through unipaygold.unibank.com/default.aspx
once on link type in Natick, go to Police Dept, then click on Police Firearms License. Cash,
money orders, and personal checks may be accepted but only if an applicant cannot feasibly pay
the fee online.
License to Carry Firearms $100 each
License to Carry Firearms - retired law enforcement officers $25 each
Firearms Identification Card $100 each
Firearms Identification Card - applicants under 18 years old $25 each
First time applicants will be required to come to the Natick Police Department and must
provide fingerprints and have a picture taken for their license.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS: current license holders are now required to report a change of
address through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal. Change of address forms mailed to the
Natick Police Department or delivered in hand are no longer acceptable. The link to the
