FIREARMS LICENSE PROCESSING
You MUST be a Full-time Mashpee resident. The name on your application must match the name on your driver’s license.
Complete a Massachusetts State Police approved safety course (exempt for renewal)
Applicants for a License to Carry (LTC) must be twenty-one (21) years or older.
Applicants for an FID card must be fifteen (15) years old. Any applicant more than fifteen (15) years of age, but less than eighteen (18) years of age must have written permission from a parent or guardian.
Applications shall be completed honestly and truthfully. A background check will be conducted. Questions answered incorrectly, mistakenly or in an attempt to defraud this police department, will cause delays in processing and may cause your application to be denied.
Include a $100.00 money order , made payable to the “Town of Mashpee”. The fee for a youth FID card (age 15-17) is $25.00. The fee is non-refundable. There is no fee if the applicant is over 70 years of age and it is a renewal.
You MUST supply a business-size self-addressed stamped envelope.

The packet should contain:
Completed application including your email address.
Money order made out to the Town Of Mashpee.
Copy of your Firearms Safety Certificate (for new applicants only).
Copy of your driver’s license.
Self-addressed stamped envelope.
Upon receipt of your completed application packet, the Firearms Clerk will contact you in order to schedule an appointment to submit your fingerprints and take a photo.
