Firearms licensing for new applicants will be accepted on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, and Sunday, August 30th, 2026, from 10 am to 1 pm.
Firearms licensing for renewals maybe dropped off anytime at the Halifax Police Station form box located in the lobby. Please include a check or money order made out to the town of Halifax. The fee is one hundred dollars. If you would like to drop the application off in person or pay by cash the above times are available.
Licenses and receipts will be mailed to your address on file.

If the licensee applied for renewal before the license expired, the license shall remain valid after its expiration date for all lawful purposes until the renewal application is approved or denied.
