Firearms Licenses (LTC and FID)
Online application and renewal through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal is the preferred method for applying and renewing firearms licenses.
Once an application is submitted through the portal it is not considered received by the Granville Police Department until the required $100 non-refundable fee has been paid.
New Applications:
Applications are processed in person Saturdays 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm by appointment only.

New applicants are required bring their firearms safety certificate and a photo ID.
New applicants will be fingerprinted at the time of their appointment.

If you are unable to utilize the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal you may mail in your application to:

Paper applications are available in the lobby of the Police Department.
Please enclose the $100 non-refundable fee (check) made payable to "Town of Granville" to avoid delays in your renewal.

Non-Resident Applicant:
The Granville Police Department is unable to process non-resident applications. Proof of residency is required for all applications.
You must apply for a non-resident license to carry firearms through the Firearms Records Bureau.
Non-resident applications can be filed with the FRB online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal
or by completing the
Non-resident Application and following the instructions for submission to the FRB.
