Firearms Licensing Information
LTC  applicants must be 21 years old at the time of application.   FID  applicants must be 18 years old or 15 years old with a letter from parent granting permission to apply.
NEW APPLICANTS:
1. Check or money order for $100 made payable to “Town of Easton”  NO CASH
2. Completed and signed LTC/FID Application .
3. Proof of residency, such as a tax bill or utility bill.
4. Copy of  SAFETY  or  HUNTERS  certificate for license type requested.
5. Copy of Driver’s license OR  other photo ID.
6. Copy of Birth certificate OR  valid passport.
7. Copy of DD-214 if ever in military showing discharge status.
RENEWAL APPLICANTS:
1. Check or money order for $100 made payable to “Town of Easton”.  NO CASH.   (Age 70 and over is FREE for renewals only.)
2. Completed and signed application and lost/stolen affidavit.
3. Copy of current firearms license.
4. Copy of Driver’s license OR  other photo ID.
5. If your current LTC or FID was not issued from the Easton Police, you must prove Easton residency, such as utility bill or tax bill.
6. Renewal applicants do not need to fill out the reference section of the application.
IMPORTANT:
All new applicants will need an appointment.  Applicants cannot simply drop off or mail in an application or paperwork.  Please contact the Firearms Licensing Division at 508-230-3322 extension 3 to schedule an appointment.  New appointments take approximately one hour and will include fingerprinting.
Renewal applicants can submit their application and paperwork to the police department.  All renewal items must be sealed in an envelope and addressed to Lieutenant Wilson/Firearms Licensing.
When and application is approved, it is typically received by mail approximately six weeks after the appointment.
