Firearms Licensing
Firearms Licensing is performed by members of our Traffic Bureau.  Appointments are scheduled Monday - Saturday 9am - 2pm.  To schedule an appointment to apply for a new, renew an existing LTC / FID card: CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW
The following are required to bring with you for your appointment:
Drivers License:  Verify Residency  (you must be a Chicopee Resident)
If you became a naturalized citizen you must bring the following documentation to confirm:
Date, place and naturalization number.
Money Order or Certified Bank Check Payable to "City of Chicopee"
$100 - License to Carry
Free to renew if over 70 years of age
$100 - Firearms Identification Card
Free to renew if over 70 years of age
$25 - Firearms Identification Card under 18 years old
No personal checks - no cash - no debit or credit cards
Complete application - Found on MA.gov
MA.gov License application
Renewal application will only be renewed 60 days or less before expiration .
New application must bring MA approved gun safety course certificate (Original and one copy)
