Requirements
All applicants must be residents of Brewster and show a current Brewster address on their Massachusetts driver s license.
Applicants for a License to Carry Firearms must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
Applicants for a Firearms Identification Card must be eighteen (18) years of age.
Applicants between the ages of fifteen (15) and eighteen (18) years of age may apply for an FID with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
New applicants for a License to Carry Firearms or Firearms Identification Card must include a copy of a completed Firearms Safety Course or Hunter Safety Course certification issued by a state-certified instructor.
Procedure
Applicants should complete and return the application, together with the required Safety certification, to the Brewster Police Department. Subsequently to the submission, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment for processing, fingerprints, and a picture.
Fees as established above are to be paid by check or money order payable to the Town of Brewster with the application. NO Cash will be accepted
