Firearms Licensing Beverly Police Department

To apply for a new Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry Firearms download and print a Firearms Application. You must mail your application to the attention of Lt. Michael Backstrom prior to receiving an appointment time. PLEASE ALLOW 30 90 DAYS FROM WHEN APPLICATION IS MAILED TO RECEIVE YOUR APPOINTMENT! DO NOT CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT !
For Renewals Please send application 3-4 months prior to expiration of your current firearms license.
Items needed at time of appointment:
Valid MA drivers license.
Current firearms license (IF RENEWING) .
A $100.00 non-refundable check.
New applicants must additionally bring an appropriate firearm safety course certificate from an instructor who has been certified by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety and a Drivers license or positive ID.
